Widgeteer’s Vac-it^® and Vac-it^® Brand FreshSnaps^® allow air removal from ordinary re-sealable, zipper-style freezer bags, helping prolong the life of foods. Our air removal system offers a low cost alternative to the expensive rolls, bags, and specialty equipment. Now you can use the zipper-style freezer bag that you probably already have on-hand! In addition, the Vac-it^® Air Removal System doesn’t require tools or batteries.


What’s more, the Vac-it^® brand FreshSnaps^® are reusable. When finished with the contents of your plastic bag, simply remove the FreshSnap, wash and re-use! Keep several FreshSnaps^® on hand for all of your air removal needs.

Place items into a zipper-style freezer bag. Insert one FreshSnap® Base (#1), sliding inside top area of bag, and piercing straight through the bag with the tip of the insert. (Do not twist the bag.) Squeeze out excess air.	Secure the FreshSnap® Seal air valve (#2) by screwing onto the base and place the Vac-it® pump onto the valve.	Pump out the bag, removing virtually all of the air. Remove the Vac-it® pump from the air valve (#2) and snap the cap of the FreshSnap® (#4) in place, ensuring an air tight seal.

Do not use on body of humans or animals.

The Vac-it^® Pump is only for use with Vac-it^® Brand FreshSnaps^®.

Use of the Vac-it^® Air Removal System is not a substitution for food preservation methods such as refrigeration, freezing, or canning, and should be used as a supplemental method of enhancing preservation freshness. Please take extreme care to follow appropriate food preservation and storage guidelines.

Widgeteer, Inc., does not recommend re-use of plastic food storage bags when used for storing meats, poultry or seafood.

Extra care should be taken to wash all Vac-it^® parts and FreshSnaps^® thoroughly when used for raw meats, poultry or seafood.

The Vac-it^® brand FreshSnaps^® are safe for microwave use when thawing packages containing a FreshSnaps^® Base. Use caution when handling any plastic bags that have been microwaved, as the contents may be hot. Overheating plastic bags and their contents may cause melting. Exercise caution when opening sealed bags that have been microwaved, as excessive steam can be released when opened.
